G'day.

Here's some news. I'll write on it later, but check it out: http://www.nytimes-se.com/.

That's a pretty sweet prank. It got everyone hoping there for a minute.

Ummm, can't see that headline ever happening. The division between a partial occupation/ a war / an insurgency / a civil war / a partial withdrawl of troops.

I know it's a 'joke' but there's unlikely to be a 'happy ever after' scenario in Iraq any time soon.

All very sad...

Maybe, Cait; I was worried. Because I'm afraid that without any sort of infrastructure, both Iraq and Afghanistan will collapse. If the US pulls out too suddenly, I'd worry that the crazies that are still out there will just sweep back in. Let's just say that we'd have to KNOW the UN--a well-funded UN that doesn't have serial rapists for peacekeeping forces this time--would be in there doing their job. Personally, I'd like to see full media coverage, just to keep things in line.

Let's put it this way. When I saw this headline, my first thought was, "Oh, no." And then I figured it out (like a Health Insurance Act is going to be held south of the border any time soon), and had a good laugh.
